Single Serve Set- Hand Thrown Stoneware Ceramics

Beginning of process; hand throwing various ceramic vessels on potter's wheel. Experimenting with different shapes and sizes.
I experimented with a decorating process called "Sgraffito" which involves painting the surface of the dried clay with a black slip, before carving back a pattern into the clay. These pieces are now ready to be bisque fired in the kiln.
This is the result of the Sgraffito ceramic pieces after being clear glazed.
I tried out a similar decorating process for another tester piece. This time I tried "inlaying slip", which involves carving a pattern on the bare clay, before coating in slip. Once dried, the slip on the surface gets scratched off, revealing an inlayed pattern. The piece was then bisque fired before being clear glazed and fired again.
